Some customers were forced to wait longer than usual for their prescriptions Tuesday at CVS pharmacies nationwide due to a network connection issue.

People took to social media on Tuesday to complain about technical problems at CVS stores, with some expressing frustration over a delay in their prescriptions.

A spokesperson for CVS said some stores were dealing with network connection issues Tuesday but others have resolved the issues. As the networks go back online, some customers may experience delays.

The spokesperson did not say how many stores were affected by the network connection issues Tuesday. There are more than 9,000 CVS stores in the United States.

“While most of our pharmacies can still fill prescriptions, some patients may experience delays,” the spokesperson told MassLive on Tuesday.

The outages come one day after Amazon Web Services experienced an outage, resulting in several websites and services going offline.
