Dairy Queen celebrating start of spring with free ice cream

Spring starts today, and there’s no better way to celebrate the changing of the season than with some ice cream.

That’s where Dairy Queen comes in.

The fast food restaurant will once again host Free Cone Day where customers can get a free small soft-serve vanilla cone at participating locations.

“Free Cone Day is by far one of our favorite days of the year,” Dairy Queen Vice President of Marketing Maria Hokanson said in a release. “There’s nothing sweeter than enjoying a tasty cone – on DQ – to kick off a season full of reasons to celebrate.”

For an extra $1 customers can get their cone dipped with proceeds going to the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals.

The free ice cream cone is limited to one per person while supplies last.

Dairy Queens located inside malls are not offering the free cone, but participating mall locations will with a purchase.

You cannot get a free cone via delivery or mobile order.
