A Democratic congressional candidate in Michigan is being roasted online over a series of unhinged TikTok campaign videos that show her twerking, lip-syncing and posing in front of banners that scream “p—y power.”

Shelby Campbell, a 32-year-old single mom, has flooded her social media with clips of herself dancing, responding to haters and spouting her political views as part of her campaign for Michigan’s 13th Congressional District, which includes parts of Detroit and several suburbs.

Some of Campbell’s more outrageous clips have exploded online in recent days, racking up millions of views as critics claimed that she’s proof that “Democrats are not sending their best.”

“Michigan House Democrat candidate Shelby Campbell’s campaign strategy? Twerking for votes,” the Libs of TikTok account posted on X alongside one video of Campbell shaking her behind for the camera.

The Democratic candidate, whose campaign website proudly declares she has been to jail and includes four prior mugshots, routinely floods her official account with jaw-dropping footage.

One vile video shows her squatting over the camera while wearing a pair of shorts before asking an apparent hater, “I am a c–t. Great. But would you know a cl—t if you saw one?”

Another captured her twerking and crouching down on a kitchen counter saying, “I am an ethical person. I am a classy bitch, am I not?”

Campbell, a law student and United Auto Workers union member, is running against Dem Rep. Shri Thanedar in a crowded primary. The liberal wing of the party is hoping to oust Thanedar, a wealthy pharma executive, who has represented the strongly Democratic district since 2021

Shocked social media users were quick to tear into Campbell’s campaign tactics.

“Meet Shelby Campbell… She is a mother of two boys and chose to lip-sync and twerk as part of her campaign strategy. For bedroom decor, she used stoner-style flags, one reading ‘P—y Power’ and the other featuring a marijuana leaf and a ‘sexual’ sign,” one X user wrote.

“Democrats are not sending their best,” another wrote.

One chimed in, “Bro, this is her actual campaign strategy? Twerking in the living room for votes in 2026 Single mom energy mixed with OnlyFans audition. Michigan really out here picking leaders like this? Policy? Nah, just vibes and squats. The bar is in hell at this point.”

Campbell, for her part, relished in the viral infamy, posting on X that she loved the “fan videos.”

“Omg I love you guys thank you keep the publicity going,” she posted.

The first-time candidate’s website boasts that she is a “working-class woman” and not a career politician.

“I’m not here to pretend I’m perfect. I’m not here to smile in your face and stab you in the back later,” the bio on her site states.

“More than half of us work in service, retail, healthcare, or auto jobs. I’ve been a bartender, server, certified nursing assistant and third-generation auto worker,” she continued.

“I’ve been to jail. I’ve been judged. And I’ve gotten back up, like so many here.”
