Wins are listed in order of announcement and in accordance with candidates’ FYC campaigns (e.g. Karla Sofía Gascón, Selena Gomez, Adriana Paz, and Zoe Saldaña shared the Cannes Best Actress prize for Emilia Pérez, but it will be listed for the last three under Best Supporting Actress, where they’re being campaigned).

Since her Best Comedy/Musical Actress victory at the Golden Globes, Demi Moore has earned 10 Best Actress prizes, including five consecutively. The haul has brought her precursor win total to 16, passing Marianne Jean-Baptiste for second place for the season thus far (Mikey Madison leads Best Actress contenders with 27 wins). Did Moore’s Globe victory for The Substance and moving speech give her a boost? Well, Moore, who’s been nominated by the Screen Actors Guild Awards and the BAFTAs, has now won more awards since the Globes than she had in all of December.
Moore’s run is a reverse image of what happened three years ago. Kristen Stewart lost the Globe for Spencer and was snubbed by SAG in a three-day span. Stewart had dominated regionals critics awards — and like Moore, she did not win any of the big three critics prizes (New York Film Critics Circle, Los Angeles Film Critics Association, and National Society of Film Critics) — and was the odds-on Oscar frontrunner for Best Actress. But following the Globe loss and SAG snub, Stewart won fewer regionals, many of which went for alternates in Olivia Colman (The Lost Daughter) and Jessica Chastain (The Eyes of Tammy Faye). The winds shifted away from her after those major precursors weighed in and said nay to Spencer, but they’re shifting towards Moore now after she delivered the top moment of the Globes.
Meanwhile, Oscar nominee Fernanda Torres has added one win since her Golden Globe triumph for Best Drama Actress, the Satellite Award from the International Press Academy. The I’m Still Here star had won nothing prior to the Globes, which might also speak to how underseen the surprise Best Picture nominee had been. Torres won’t be able to keep pace with Moore or Madison or even Jean-Baptiste as critics prizes are winding down and she’s not nominated at any of the upcoming precursors, Critics Choice, Screen Actors Guild Awards or BAFTA, but that doesn’t mean she won’t be competitive for the Oscar.
