Dennis Quaid thinks there is a “double standard” about being a supporter of President Donald Trump in Hollywood.

“There’s either ‘F Trump’ from the other side or ‘I love Trump’ from a few of us who speak about it,” Quaid, 71, told Fox News Digital on Thursday, March 19. “Of course, there’s a double standard, but there’s a double standard on everything.”

The Parent Trap actor added, “You’ve got common sense, and then you’ve got, like, some kind of whipped-up scenario where, you know, it might be true, you know, that I could compete in women’s sports or, you know, that I could, whatever, vote twice or whatever it is.”

Quaid also shared that he was recently in touch with Trump, 79, and discussed his upcoming movie, War Machine. “He said, ‘What do you got coming out?’ I said, ‘War Machine.’ He went, ‘Oh yeah, I can’t wait to see that. We need that kind of movie. What’s it about?’”

Quaid added that the movie is about the army fighting aliens, to which Trump replied, “You know I’m going to release the file,’” referencing files that prove aliens exist, which former President Barack Obama confirmed in February. He joked, “So, we may have a prequel by the time he does it, you never know.”

The actor also told the publication that recently flying with Trump on Air Force One was like a “fantasy camp.”

“It was pretty amazing,” Quaid recalled. “There’s everything you really kind of thought it would be.”

Last month, Quaid opened up about his friendship with the president while chatting with Pastor Greg Laurie during an episode of his namesake podcast.

“[Trump is] surprisingly approachable and very funny,” Quaid said. “And really genuine. He wouldn’t be president if he wasn’t genuine. The people who voted for him know that he has their best interests at heart, that he is a genuine person.”

Quaid added, “I’ve never seen anybody with that kind of energy. People say that about me, but he’s really got a lot of energy.”

As for where he stands politically, Quaid doesn’t view himself as a Republican but leans “more conservative.”

“I’m a common-sense independent, myself,” he explained. “I’m just for common sense, is really what I am.”

More stars who have voiced their support for Trump include Nicki Minaj, Lauren Sanchez and Jeff Bezos, Theo Von, Caitlyn Jenner and Jake Paul, among others.
