Which Gruber teething sticks are being recalled?
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration issued an enhanced, second recall notice in mid April for all Gerber Soothe N Chew teething sticks, after issuing an initial recall alert in January.
“On January 31, 2025, Gerber Products Company initiated a recall and discontinuation of all batches of Gerber Soothe ‘N’ Chew teething sticks, due to a potential choking hazard for babies and young children,” read the FDA’s recall alert. “We are issuing a second press release about this recall due to recent reports of recalled product still available for sale on some retailer shelves and online.”
These are the Gerber teething sticks that have been recalled and subsequently discontinued:
- Gerber Snacks for Baby Soothe ‘N’ Chew Teething Sticks, Strawberry Apple, Net Wt 3.2 Oz (90g), with UPC 0 15000 04618 7, all lot codes
- Gerber Snacks for Baby Soothe ‘N’ Chew Teething Sticks, Banana, Net Wt 3.2 Oz (90g), with UPC 0 15000 04608 8, all lot codes
- Gerber Snacks for Baby Soothe ‘N’ Chew Teething Sticks, Banana, Net Wt 1.58 Oz (45g), with UPC 0 15000 01015 7, all lot codes
You can get a refund for the recalled Gerber teething sticks
If you happened to pick up a box of the teething sticks, the FDA’s advises you either dispose of them immediately or return them to the store for a full refund. Concerned parents call also contact Gerber directly at 1-800-4-GERBER (1-800-443-7237).
