President Donald Trump has claimed that Republicans would be victorious in the 2026 midterm elections if his name had been on the ballot.

“I wasn’t on the ballot and if I was, we would have won IN A LANDSLIDE! Thank you for your attention to this matter. President DONALD J. TRUMP,” Trump, 80, wrote via Truth Social in the late hours of Tuesday, November 3. At the time of publication, CNN had projected that Democrats would take control of the House of Representatives.

The president, who had repeatedly encouraged Americans to pretend he was on Tuesday’s ballot ahead of millions of Americans placing their votes, had also claimed hours prior that he was prepared to leave the country altogether if the public didn’t like him anymore.

“If people ever get tired of me in the U.S., I’ll move to Israel and become prime minister,” Trump stated during his call into the Tuesday episode of Fox & Friends.

He continued at the time, “I’m at 99 [percent approval]. I have the highest approval rating of anybody in history.” (According to a CNN poll conducted between October 13 and October 26, the president’s disapproval rating in the U.S. registered at 64 percent.)

The president’s Fox & Friends interview also addressed the nation’s military aid currently sent to Israel, with Trump stating that he does not think Israel needs it anymore. “Israel’s our No. 1. We give them more than anybody else, and they no longer need it,” the president said during his live phone interview. “We’ve been doing it for years. I’ve been doing it. But Israel is a very thriving country. They don’t need it. If they did need it, I would say keep it going.”

The president also managed to squeeze in some non-political issues in the lead-up to the election, providing a ranking of the most attractive members in his current administration. When asked by podcast host Miranda Divine on the Monday, November 2, episode of “Pod Force One” who he favored, Trump listed Vice President JD Vance, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, and Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent.

“Which one of those three? Or is it somebody else? Pete Hegseth?” pushed Devine, 65, which made Trump chuckle before he stated that her questioning may spark issues. (Hegseth, 46, is the Secretary of War.)

“Pete’s a good-looking guy,” he continued. “You’re going to get me in big trouble when you ask me those questions. Why do you do that? I think they’re all great looking.”

The president explained in conclusion, “I’ll tell you what, Marco’s really a great hot politician in the sense that he’s done great. JD, the same thing. They’re all doing great. Scott Bessent is central casting, right? If I was going to do a movie on the Treasury, I’d pick him for the lead. They’re all good.”
