The third annual Taste of CityPlace, featuring food from over 20 restaurants, is coming to the West Palm Beach shopping and dining destination Thursday , Oct. 10.

This palate-pleasing event will showcase the talents of CityPlace’s chefs and their staff, who will be serving up appetizers, entrees and dessert samplings.

This year’s theme, “Homegrown,” is a nod to all the locally-sourced ingredients from Florida farms used in the culinary creations produced in CityPlace’s restaurants. It’s also about pride in the local people who make it all possible.

“We are humbled by the growing roster of beloved brands participating in Taste of CityPlace, as we bring the community together for a season preview of fresh flavors and the familiar faces behind our diverse culinary collection at CityPlace,” said Eileen Sturgis, director of marketing at Related Ross.

Sturgis said the theme was inspired by a sense of pride in the community.

What restaurants are participating in Taste of CityPlace?

The restaurants on hand this year will include: Galley, El Camino, Mamam, Adrienne’s Pizzabar, Angie’s Epicurean, BurgerFi, City Cellar Wine Bar & Grill, City Pizza, Cheesecake Factory, Felice, Harry’s Bar & Restaurant, Il Bellagio, Planta, Pura Vida, Sloan’s, Starbucks, Sur La Table, Sweetgreen, The Salty Donut and True Food Kitchen.

Among the samples available will be the chargrilled octopus from Galley. This popular dish keeps with the “Homegrown” theme, featuring a romesco sauce made with peppers from Harvest Fresh Partners in Boca Raton, salsa rossa with parsley from C&B Farms out of Clewiston and potatoes from Blue Sky Farms in Gainesville.

El Camino, the wildly popular Mexican restaurant with locations in CityPlace, on Atlantic Avenue in Delray Beach and on Restaurant Row in Boca Raton, will be serving tamales, filled with masa, braised pork shoulder, spices, herbs and chilies, wrapped in a corn husk before being steamed. They are then finished with salsa roja sauce, drizzled with sour cream and topped with micro cilantro.
