EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — An El Pasoan brought home a national title at a prestigious pageant competition earlier this month.

Joselyn Chavez became the 2025 U.S. American Teen in a Florida pageant held on July 6, according to a news release by Ragazza Bazaar, a top model academy and pageantry.

Chavez’s journey was guided by her state and local director, Nancy Contreras, who is also the founder of Ragazza Bazaar. Contreras is also the visionary behind Stars of America – Texas, according to the news release.

According to the news release, Contreras helped shape Joselyn’s leadership and presentation both on and off stage, drawing on her over a decade of experience in developing young talent through fashion, pageantry, and media.

“Joselyn represents the new generation of role models — bold, proud, and rooted in the community,” Contreras said. “Her win is a reflection of the values we promote at Ragazza Bazaar: empowerment, culture, and visibility for young women ready to lead.”

Through her national title, Chavez aims to use her platform to advocate for youth mentorship, education, and cultural pride — serving as a role model to other in El Paso and beyond, according to the news release.

“This title is more than a crown,” Chavez said. “It’s a symbol of my journey, my culture, and the support of my El Paso community. I’m honored to represent Texas — and proud to bring this win home.”

According to the news release, Chavez is also a reigning Top Model Elite 2025 at Ragazza Bazaar Models.

The academy is open for registration for the next Miss Teen Pageants 2025 set for Aug. 29-31. If interested, visit here for more information.
