Enjoy a hearty meal to help feed the county’s most needy during the Palm Beach County Food Bank’s 12th annual Empty Bowls Palm Beach at The Episcopal Church of Bethesda-by-the-Sea.

From 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, attendees will be able to choose from the 650 painted ceramic bowls before enjoying a selection of signature soups donated by local eateries, freshly baked bread from Old School Bakery and a variety of baked items, sold separately.

The following restaurants will provide the soups: BrickTop’s, Buccan, Club Colette, The Colony Hotel, E.R. Bradley’s, Field of Greens, Palm Beach County Food Bank Chef Doug Barg, Gourmet Galaxy, Grato, Le Bilboquet Palm Beach, La Maison De Paris, Paradiso Ristorante, PB Catch, Pistache, Renato’s, Sailfish Club of Florida, The Bath and Tennis Club, The Beach Club, The Breakers, Toojay’s, Trevini Ristorante and Joshua Catering from The Lord’s Place.

Empty Bowl attendees can select from 650 painted ceramic bowls such as these that were available for last year’s event.

Donations and proceeds from ticket sales will support the food bank’s efforts to procure food from sources including grocery stores, farmers and wholesalers to distribute to its over 200 local community partners.

“Currently, one-in-nine residents are projected to be food-insecure — and every dollar raised at Empty Bowls provides five meals to support our community partners that specifically serve Palm Beach County,” the food bank’s CEO Jamie Kendall said in a statement.

Last year, the organization distributed nearly 13 million meals to over 193,000 residents who did not have consistent access to food, according to the Palm Beach County Food Bank.

Bethesda-by-the-Sea is at 141 S. County Road.

Tickets are $40 and include unlimited soup tasting and one hand-painted ceramic bowl, while supplies last. Tickets can be purchased at pbcfoodbank.org/emptybowlspalmbeach. For more information, call 561-670-2518.
