The Rams signed former All-Pro linebacker Eric Kendricks to their practice squad on Tuesday.
This comes while the Rams have suffered several injuries to key defensive players, most notably Myles Garrett and Aaron Donald (who missed Los Angeles’ last game with a back issue).
Kendricks’ wife, Ally, is excited about her husband returning to the field.
She made a post to her Instagram Story shortly after the signing was announced that showed a graphic of Kendricks celebrating in a Rams jersey.
“YEAR 12 BABY!!!!! Staying in LA 😤😤😤😤 @erickendricks,” the post was captioned.
Kendricks is a former UCLA star who played three games with the 49ers last year.
The 34-year-old spent the first eight seasons of his NFL career with the Vikings, then spent one season with the Chargers, then a season with the Cowboys, before serving as Fred Warner’s replacement for San Francisco last season.
He was a free agent before signing with the Rams.
Kendricks earned First-Team All-Pro honors in the 2019 season. He’s a long ways from his prime but could still serve a valuable role for the Rams if he is elevated to the active roster soon.
