Eva Longoria has returned to the U.S. wearing what just might be spring’s hottest trend: the blazer-maxiskirt combo. Stepping out for an appearance on Live with Kelly and Mark, the actress—who now splits her time between Spain and Mexico—sported a fitted blazer with a cinched waistline and a pleated maxiskirt with a thigh-high slit. She completed the all-black outfit with strappy heeled sandals.

The ex-pat was in town to promote her new TV show, Eva Longoria: Searching for Spain, which premieres on April 27 on CNN.
“Eleven generations ago, one of my ancestors left Spain for the new world and new life,” the actress said in the trailer for the series. “Four hundred years later, I’m back to see how the land and its people have created one of the world’s most exciting cuisines.”

When news of her departure made headlines late last year, some fans assumed Longoria was part of the cohort of celebrities (which also includes Ellen DeGeneres and Richard Gere) who left after the 2024 presidential election. Longoria later clarified that she had moved three years prior, during the COVID-19 pandemic.
“People just grabbed some clickbait stuff to be divisive, which makes me so sad, you know,” she told Ana Navarro on The View, per The Hollywood Reporter. “I didn’t leave because of the political environment. I left because my work took me there.”
Longoria originally announced her relocation via an interview with Marie Claire. “I had my whole adult life here,” she told the outlet of living in L.A. “But even before [the pandemic], it was changing. The vibe was different. And then COVID happened, and it pushed it over the edge. Whether it’s the homelessness or the taxes, not that I want to shit on California—it just feels like this chapter in my life is done now.”
