The stars came out in droves to watch the New England Patriots and the Seattle Seahawks in Super Bowl LX.
The Patriots, led by quarterback Drake Maye, played Sam Darnold’s Seahawks at Levi’s Stadium in California on Sunday, February 8.
Among the stars in attendance is Cardi B, who is dating Patriots receiver Stefon Diggs.
“I’m feeling very excited and very happy for him, very proud of him,” Cardi told NFL Network after the Patriots’ AFC Championship victory last month. “He just came back from an ACL [injury] and me seeing the progress and the process [and he’s put in] discipline and work. It’s not like, ‘Oh, you wake up and you’re great.’ It’s discipline. It’s going to bed early, it’s waking up early, it’s not missing one day of work, nothing.”
Brandi Carlile, meanwhile, is rooting for a Seahawks win — but can’t wear any merch for her hometown team since she performed “America the Beautiful” ahead of kickoff.
“I’ll have a Seahawks jersey on in my heart,” Carlile told Variety ahead of the big game. “You know, people say to me, ‘Oh, isn’t it complicated and difficult to get involved in something like the Super Bowl in these times?’ And there’s a lot of validity to that observation. I don’t disagree, but it does get a little easier when it’s your team.”
