It’s an unbreakable bond.

Christina Applegate has a loving relationship with her 13-year-old daughter, Sadie Grace LeNoble, who she shares with her husband, Martyn LeNoble.

The mother-daughter duo have grown closer as they each deal with serious health issues.

Applegate was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in 2021 and has stepped away from acting.

Sadie revealed on her mom’s podcast on June 25 that she has postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome — where your heart rate increases quickly after getting up from sitting or lying down.

“I hate it for you my darling. I really hate it for you,” Applegate told her only child on the podcast. “I’m sad. But I love you and I know you’re going to be OK. And I’m here for you and I believe you.”

Applegate has gushed over her close bond with her daughter over the years.

Here’s everything she’s said about Sadie.

February 2011

One month after Applegate gave birth to Sadie on January 27, 2011, the “Dead to Me” star told People how becoming a mom changed her. She said Sadie “healed” her after she was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2008 and underwent a double mastectomy.

“I’ve had to talk about that word [cancer] more than I’ve ever had to talk about a word in my life. After a while you’re like, ‘There’s got to be something else to me,’ ” Applegate said.

“Yeah, now I’m Mom,” the actress added. “She’s healed me in so many ways. She’s just made my life so much better. She’s opened my whole soul.”

Applegate also said, “I felt my heart literally open up for the first time and like wrap itself around her. It was profound. And I’m more in love with her every minute of the day.”

March 2012

The “Married … with Children” alum gushed over her then-1-year-old daughter to Scholastic Parent & Chill in March 2012.

“She loves it when I imitate a monkey,” she said, per Us Weekly. “And you try to use it again and again, but then by the third time she doesn’t find it funny anymore. Sadie is a much harder critic than the public. … Because she sees her daddy with guitars playing music for her, and then she sees mommy being ridiculous at home. She’s sort of an amalgamation of the two of us. But then she has her own things, too. She’s very independent.”

February 2017

When Sadie was 6, Applegate told Entertainment Tonight that life was pretty normal as a mom of one.

“Not much to report over here. Making kid breakfast, working out, now going to go pick her up and take her to ballet,” Applegate said.

April 2018

Applegate told PEOPLE that Sadie didn’t know her mom was famous until she was 7.

“One of her friends said, ‘You know, your mom is famous’ and she was like, what?” the Emmy winner said. “She was like, ‘Mama, what does that mean? Are you famous?’ I was like, ‘It’s not that. I work where people see it and they just kind of know who I am.’ “

Applegate continued, “No one knows who I am at school. I have a mom bun. I’m filthy all the time. I never wear makeup. I dress like a schlub.”

The Hollywood icon said that she made “a very strict rule” regarding Sadie’s future. “She can study acting until she’s 18 and then if she wants to have that as a job, then she has the right to make that decision,” Applegate said. “But under my roof, you train and you become the best that you can be. But also, have a good education.”

November 2022

Applegate gave Sadie a shout-out when she received her star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, which marked one of her first public events since revealing her MS diagnosis.

“The most important person in this world is my daughter,” she said at the ceremony. “You are so much more than even you know. You are so beautiful and kind and loving and smart and interesting, and I am blessed every day that I get to wake up and take you to your school. You are my everything.”

January 2023

Sadie was Applegate’s date to the 2023 Critics’ Choice Awards, which was Applegate’s first award show appearance since her diagnosis.

“Just a fun fact, the suit my kid is wearing was Scott Weiland’s suit from one of his solo album covers. Scott gave my husband, Martyn, that suit long ago in the glorious ’90s,” Applegate tweeted alongside a photo of the pair in their matching black looks.

March 2024

Applegate opened up to PEOPLE about how her battle with MS has affected her daughter.

“Dancing with her every day. Picking her up from school every day. Working at her school, working in the library. Being present out of the house, out of my bed. She doesn’t see those things anymore,” Applegate said. “This is a loss for her as well. And we’re both learning as we’re going along.”

The “Friends” guest star added about Sadie, “She’ll come in the room, and if she sees that I’m laying on my side, she knows that she can’t ask me to do anything. And that breaks me, breaks me. Because I love doing stuff for my kid. I love making her food. I love bringing it to her. I love all of it, and I just can’t sometimes. But I try. I try.”

June 2024

Sadie went on her mom’s “MeSsy” podcast on June 25, 2024, and publicly revealed her POTS diagnosis for the first time.

“I have something called POTS. I have no clue what it actually is, but it’s something to do with the autonomic nervous system, and it affects my heart,” she said. “When I stand up, I get really, really dizzy, and my legs get really weak and I feel like I’m going to pass out.”

Applegate admitted that she was initially dismissive of her daughter’s symptoms.

“I just didn’t see it at home, babe,” the actress said. “At home you were fine. But it’s kind of like us. We get out in the world, and the stresses and the anxiety of the world bring upon our symptoms much worse than they would be if we were in the safety and the coolness of our own homes.”

Sadie also said that her own diagnosis helped her understand her mom’s struggles with MS.
