Exclusive | Tounde Yessoufou tells The Post why he postponed NBA dream to join St. John’s

The initial plan was the NBA. 

That was Tounde Yessoufou’s dream and his focus from the time his freshman season ended at Baylor through the NBA Draft Combine and until just recently. 

But as the deadline to make his decision neared and as he went through the draft process, he felt a pull to return to college for his sophomore year. 

He began thinking to himself: What was the rush? The NBA wasn’t going anywhere.
