NEW YORK — A super PAC supporting former President Donald Trump launched a website hours before Tuesday’s vice presidential debate needling Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz for his links to China.

The “Tiananmen Tim” website — created by Make America Great Again Inc. and shared exclusively with The Post — blasts the Democratic No. 2 for “putting China first [and] America last” as well as lying about being in Hong Kong while the Chinese Communist Party was brutally putting down pro-democracy protests at Beijing’s Tiananmen Square in 1989.

Walz claimed at least three times between 2009 and 2019 that he was in East Asia at the height of the tumult, but two reports by a local paper in his home state of Nebraska place the future governor in the Cornhusker State until August of that year.

Walz is the subject of a congressional investigation over his relationships with China and has profusely supported the Communist country in the past.

The website notes that Walz has said he has visited China more than 30 times and even went on his honeymoon around the fifth anniversary of the Tiananmen Square crackdown.

Walz’s China ties may come up in the debate against GOP rival Sen. JD Vance (R-Ohio), as Trump adviser Jason Miller posted about the Tiananmen Square revelation on X.

“Tiananmen Tim! Funny they’re changing this now – we were planning on calling him out for this at the debate tomorrow night! Anything else you want to fess up to, Tim???” Miller wrote.

The debate will be the first time Vance and Walz spar with each other face-to-face and will be the last time candidates on the 2024 tickets will debate before the Nov. 5 election.

Both Trump and Harris have vowed to be tough on China if they take office as the US fights to retain its trade dominance.

The MAGA Inc. site also notes that Walz has previously said he doesn’t necessarily support having an “adversarial relationship” with China and that he “recognizes that some in the Chinese Government advocate for a greater rule of law.”

The Minnesota governor worked in China teaching English during his younger years and later set up a travel company called “Educational Travel Adventures,” that helped American students travel there.

“It will be total malpractice if Tiananmen Tim’s China First, America Last record isn’t brought up during tonight’s debate. The most radical presidential ticket in US history is bought and paid for by the Chinese Communist Party,” MAGA Inc. spokesperson Kaelan Dorr told The Post.

“The fact that Tim Walz’ questionable ties to the CCP aren’t disqualifying in Kamala’s eyes is indicative of the same poor judgement that has opened our borders, tanked our economy, and created chaos and destruction across our country.”
