Joe LaCava III and his son, Joe IV, have played their fair share of golf together over the years.
On Thursday, the two have a 1:30 p.m. tee time at Arnold Palmer’s Bay Hill Club and Lodge, and it’ll be the most special tee time of their lives — even though neither will hit a single shot in the round.
Both will be toting golf bags, but neither will be playing.
The players hitting shots will be Patrick Cantlay, for whom Joe caddies, and Joe Highsmith, for whom Joe IV caddies.
