Five observations about new-look Mets as Opening Day inches closer

PORT ST. LUCIE — The Mets will play another week of exhibition games before finalizing a roster that was largely set even before the first full-squad workout this spring.

This assessment was provided Saturday by Jorge Polanco, who (for what it’s worth) is thriving in his first camp with the Mets.

“Overall, it’s a great team,” he said. “I think we have all we need to win a World Series.”

First, the Mets have to reach Opening Day.
