More than 24 hours after the presidential race was called, Americans are awaiting the final results of races in the U.S. House of Representatives.
All 435 U.S. House of Representatives seats were up for election this year, and as of Thursday morning, neither party had claimed control. Democrats stood at 190 seats claimed and Republicans were at 205. In order to take control of the House, 218 seats are needed.
Early Wednesday morning, Americans learned that former President Donald Trump was elected to serve a second term, a victory over Vice President Kamala Harris. Trump will be sworn into office on Monday, Jan. 20, 2025.
