Legendary Spurs head coach Gregg Popovich has coached his last game.
“Gregg Popovich will no longer be Head Coach of the San Antonio Spurs and is transitioning full-time to Team President, sources told ESPN,” Shams Charania reported Friday morning.
Popovich is a Basketball Hall of Famer and the NBA’s winningest coach of all time.
He led San Antonio to five championships in 29 seasons.
The move comes after the 76-year-old stepped away from coaching the team in February as he recovered from suffering a stroke in November.
He then made headlines with another health scare just weeks ago after he fainted in a restaurant and had to be taken away in an ambulance.
