Gypsy Rose Blanchard is reflecting on the “last time” she saw her late ex Ken Urker prior to his shocking death at age 34 earlier this month.

“It was such a simple, silly little moment, but one that now means more to me than I could ever put into words,” Blanchard, 35, told Page Six in an interview published on Saturday, October 10, revealing that she last saw her ex in person while surprising him with an impromptu meal delivery. “I didn’t know that would be the last time I would ever see him in person.”

Urker was found dead at his home in Raceland, Louisiana, on October 1 —his 34th birthday. A spokesperson for the Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s Office confirmed to Us that officers “responded to a residence” after “receiving a call at 6:15 p.m,” ultimately determining that Urker was “dead upon [their] arrival.”

A cause of death has not yet been determined. Investigators previously indicated that there were no signs of foul play at the scene.

On Saturday, Blanchard shared that her final in-person interaction with Urker was on September 22, when she surprised him with a Burger King meal delivery to his door.

“I pretended to be a DoorDash driver and left his food outside his door,” she told Page Six.

She also gave the outlet a copy of an alleged text exchange she reportedly shared with Urker that day, in which she joked that Urker could leave her “a five star review” on DoorDash, a food delivery service.

“Omg ur so crazy lol,” Urker responded. “Even got me a Hershey pie!”

Looking back on that moment, Blanchard suggested she was “grateful” that “one of my final memories of Ken was something lighthearted, thoughtful, and filled with kindness.”

“Sometimes it’s the smallest moments that become the most precious memories. I will carry that one with me forever,” she added.

In the wake of Urker’s death, Blanchard has launched a petition calling for the establishment of a law that would “hold social media platforms accountable for how they handle online harassment reports.”

According to Blanchard, Urker experienced an “overwhelming amount of online scrutiny and what we believed crossed the line into targeted harassment and cyberbullying” in the final days of his life— but he allegedly received responses from multiple social media platforms stating that no action would be taken since “no violation” of the sites’ terms and services occurred.

“This is not about silencing criticism or taking away anyone’s freedom of speech. Public figures can and should be criticized, but public figures are still human beings, and fame should never erase someone’s humanity,” she stressed.

Blanchard vowed to her Instagram followers that Urker’s death inspired her to “turn pain into purpose.”

“I cannot change what happened, but I can advocate for a better system for the next person who feels like no one is listening,” she wrote on Sunday, October 3. “Fame does not erase humanity. A pattern cannot always be understood one post at a time.”

Blanchard and Urker originally connected in 2017 after he reached out to her while she was serving a seven-year prison sentence for the second-degree murder of her mother, Clauddine “Dee Dee” Blanchard, in 2015. (Gypsy’s ex-boyfriend Nicholas Godejohn was convicted of first-degree murder and armed criminal action in relation to Dee Dee’s murder.)

Urker subsequently visited Blanchard in person at Missouri’s Chillicothe Correctional Center and they shared their first kiss. He proposed to Blanchard in October 2018 but they split before ever making it down the aisle.

The pair reconnected in 2024 following Gypsy’s separation — and subsequent divorce — from her ex-husband Ryan Anderson. Gypsy and Urker welcomed a daughter, Aurora, in December 2024.
