Hailee Steinfeld “couldn’t wait” to share with her husband Josh Allen about her recent run-in with Adam Sandler.
Writing via her Friday, January 16 edition of her Beau Society newsletter, the actress, 29, divulged details of her encounter with the comedian at the 2026 Golden Globes.
Steinfeld gushed about how excited she had been to cross paths with Sandler, 59, at the awards event held on Sunday, January 11, because she and her NFL star husband, 29, are big fans.
“For context, Adam Sandler is a permanent fixture in our house. We always have one of his movies on,” Steinfeld wrote. “So when Adam Sandler waved me down by the entrance to the Globes, and said, ‘Hey, buddy! I loved Sinners! You’re doing amazing. And congrats to Josh!’ I could not wait to tell my husband.”
The Globes marked the first time Steinfeld had walked a red carpet after she had announced she was pregnant with her and Allen’s first baby.
Pregnant Steinfeld showed off her blossoming belly and rested her hands on her stomach while smiling and posing for the cameras.
Sinners took home two trophies on Sunday from a total of seven nominations. The Ryan Coogler film won Cinematic and Box Office Achievement and Best Original Score.
Allen did not attend the Globes due to his sporting commitments. The football player and the Buffalo Bills took on the Jacksonville Jaguars, beating them with a final score of 27-24 in their AFC wild card game.
Despite skipping the Globes, the athlete showed his support for his wife by sharing a photo of the pregnant actress posing on the red carpet via his Instagram Story. He added drooling and heart-eye emojis to the post.
Last month, Steinfeld confirmed via her Beau Society newsletter that she was pregnant.
“As I step into my 29th year as a softer, stronger version of myself, I want to appreciate some of my favorite moments from this year, both big and small,” Steinfeld wrote to her readers on December 12, before listing 29 things she is grateful for. “29. This video…”
The footage featured Steinfeld debuting her baby bump as she wore a sweatshirt with the word “mother.”
Steinfeld and Allen have been dating since May 2023. They announced their engagement in November 2024.
In May 2025, Steinfeld and Allen tied the knot in a romantic ceremony in Santa Barbara, California.
“Yeah, that was the best night of my life honestly,” Allen raved of their nuptials in HBO’s Hard Knocks in August 2025. “And my wife’s life, I think. That’s what she says.”
Steinfeld echoed the sentiment in an interview with Bustle in November 2025
“I literally thank God every day that I found my person, and it’s the greatest thing in the world,” she gushed to the outlet. “Life makes sense. Everything makes sense. I feel like I am stepping into the version that I’ve always dreamed of being, having so much to do with being with him.”
