Hilarie Burton Morgan shared a cryptic One Tree Hill photo amid her former costar Tyler Hilton’s recent breakup.
“IYKYK 🤮,” Burton Morgan, 43, wrote via her Instagram Stories on Saturday, January 17, alongside a pic of her character dressed in a Ravens cheerleading uniform.
Burton Morgan, who famously starred as Peyton Sawyer on OTH, seemingly posted a photo from the season 3 episode where Peyton infamously slapped Chris Keller (Hilton) for flirting with Haley James (Bethany Joy Lenz) behind her back.
“I can’t believe you were with Brooke,” Haley confronted Chris, referring to Sophia Bush’s character.
Chris, meanwhile, questioned whether Haley was jealous of his fling.
“I swear, I thought about you the whole time,” he said. “Careful, [calling me a jerk] is what Brooke said right before we hooked up.”
Before Haley could respond, Peyton walked into the room with a scowl on her face.
“Hey, what’s up blondie?” Chris asked Peyton, who promptly slapped him across the face and turned to leave the room with Haley in tow.
Burton Morgan did not publicly address the inspiration of her cryptic upload, which came hours after Hilton, 42, announced his divorce from actress-turned-director Megan Park. (Burton Morgan shared the OTH throwback in the midst of several slides discussing the ongoing ICE raids in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and elsewhere.)
“A life update: I’ve never been super comfortable sharing personal information about our family life, but I’ve seen enough speculation online that I thought warranted clarity,” Hilton wrote via Instagram on Friday, January 16. “Some time ago, Megan and I decided to end our marriage.”
He concluded, “We continue to make the kids and coparenting the priority. Thanks for continuing to respect our privacy.”
Hilton and Park, 39, had been married for 10 years, during which period they welcomed kids Winnie and Benny.
While Park has not publicly addressed the pair’s separation, fans had been putting the pieces together for months. Eagle-eyed fans noticed that Hilton and Park, who have both stopped wearing their wedding rings in late 2025, appeared to unfollow one another on social media. Burton Morgan and Bush, 43, also no longer follow Hilton, who still keeps up with his former costars.
Neither Hilton nor Park have also addressed what led to their breakup. They initially met on the set of 2007’s Charlie Bartlett.
“People are so weirded out because she was like this Christian, goody two-shoes, ‘I’m a virgin’ on Secret Life [of the American Teenager]. And I was such a raunch dog on One Tree Hill,” Hilton previously told Us Weekly in March 2025, referring to the then-couple’s famed teen roles. “I think people’s minds are blown, but a lot of people don’t know until they see us together. I guess we’ve been more private than I’ve realized.”
Park has since transitioned her career behind the camera, directing films like The Fallout and My Old Ass. Hilton, for his part, helped score 2024’s My Old Ass.
“I’ve always wanted to do that. I was gonna go to college for film scoring. This is the first movie I did the full score, and it was so, so fun,” Hilton told Us. “She’s so easy to work with and so smart. All I had to do was show up and do what she said. It worked out. She’s unbelievable as a director and writer. It’s crazy. The movie kills me. I’ve seen it a thousand times. I’ve read every version of the script, and it still makes me cry. It’s so good.”
