The playoff drought is officially over for the Chicago Bears.
After missing the postseason the past four years, Caleb Williams and co. are hosting Jordan Love’s Green Bay Packers at Soldier Field in a Wild Card contest on Saturday, Jan. 10.
Not bad for a team that went 5-12 and finished last in the NFC North in 2024.
If you’d like to see Ben Johnson’s Monsters of the Midway in their home playoff game since January 2019 (!), tickets are available as of today.
At the time of publication, the lowest price we could find on the primary and secondary market — meaning Ticketmaster, StubHub, Vivid Seats and GameTime — was $434 including fees on Vivid Seats.
100-level seats start at $786 including fees on Vivid Seats.
Over the course of the 2025 regular season, Chicago and Green Bay met twice. You may recall that Matt LaFleur’s Cheeseheads won the first matchup 28-21 on Dec. 7 thanks to a strong second quarter that put them ahead 14-3 at the half.
In their second showdown on Dec. 20, Da Bears roared back with an impressive 22-16 overtime victory thanks to a heroic Caleb Williams touchdown pass to DJ Moore securing the dub.
Still, the 11-6 Windy City club isn’t resting on their laurels come Saturday.
“…good opponent,” Johnson noted in a press conference after the team’s 19-16 week 18 loss against the Lions. “I think we’re fairly evenly matched. Got a lot of respect for how well [Green Bay is] coached. I have a lot of respect for the talent level that they have in that building. I would expect it to be another exciting game.”
Both clubs are coming into this highly-anticipated battle riding losing streaks; the 9-7 Packers have dropped their last four while the 11-6 Bears ended the year on a down note and fell to the 49ers and Lions in a pair of heartbreakers.
Buckle up.
Chicago and Green Bay are hungry- this is a big one.
We’ll see you at Soldier Field.

About the Bears vs. Packers matchup
Over the course of their long histories dating back to 1921 (!), the Packers have a winning 109–97–6 record against the Bears.
As noted above, they split their 2025 season series.
Yet, as we all know, everything resets once the playoffs begin.
According to ESPN’s Matt Bowen, he thinks “Bears win here outright” but “Chicago must create balance in the call sheet to set up Caleb Williams on play-action throws.”
