Two seasons ago with the Mammoth, Sean Durzi signed the largest contract of his career and was slated for a bigger role than he had ever had when he suffered a devastating shoulder injury just four games in.

While the injury required surgery and limited him to 30 games that season, it was impossible to forecast how much it would derail Durzi’s time — and potential — in Utah.

By the time he was ready to return to the lineup, Michael Kesselring had taken over his responsibilities.

Last season, Durzi injured his other shoulder just two games in and missed most of the first two months of the 2025-26 campaign.
