Get to your seats early, don’t miss the action

For your first time heading to an NHRA event, you should know that it’s best to get to the dragway early to scope out some food and possibly some merchandise. However, finding your seats will be a big help as the races get closer so you know where to go and how to find where you need to be.

Bring protective items, sunscreen, ear protection

Sunscreen is a must, it gets hot in the grandstands and even just walking around. The key one here, though, is ear protection for these somewhat dangerously-loud cars. Please make sure to bring some kind of ear protection, especially for the nitro cars (Funny Car, Top Fuel), but it’s best to have your ears protected for each run.

Is Bristol Motor Speedway cashless?

Yes, for the most part. Some vendors around the speedway will take cash, but all concession stands, ticket booths, souvenir shops only accept credit and debit cards (this includes digital payments such as ApplePay).
