The 2025 PGA Tour begins with the first major of the year: It’s time for the 2025 Masters.

The tournament begins today and will continue through Sunday, April 13, when the winner of the 89th annual tournament will be awarded his customary green jacket.

It’s all going down, as it does every year, at the Augusta National Golf Course in Augusta, GA.

Defending champion Scottie Scheffler is back, hoping to win his third green jacket in four years. Rory McIlroy, Collin Morikawa, and a handful of LIV golf players will also be competing. The 2025 tournament will also be the 41st and last for Bernhard Langer, who won the Masters twice before. Langer intended to retire last year, but an achilles injury delayed his farewell tour by a year.

This year’s tournament isn’t without controversy, though; Angel Cabrera, who finished up a 30-month prison sentence two years ago, was welcomed back to Augusta to compete. Cabrera was convicted of committing heinous assault crimes against two ex-girlfriends in 2021.

The Masters 2025 prize purse:

Favorites to win the 2025 Masters:

Defending champion Scottie Scheffler is, of course, a favorite to become a repeat champion at this year’s Masters. Rory McIlroy is a close second, according to oddsmakers. Collin Morikawa is another top-10 player who could make a run toward first place this year.

Where is the 2025 Masters Tournament being played?

As it has every year since 1934, the 2025 Masters will be played at Augusta National Golf Club in Augusta, Ga.
