Amid a huge day for New York sports, the Yankees will take the field for Game 1 of the American League Championship Series (ALCS), putting them just four wins away from a World Series appearance.

The Bronx Bombers punched their ticket to advance following a Game 4 win over the Royals in the ALDS; it took their opponents, the Cleveland Guardians, the full five-game series to beat the Detroit Tigers.
