Hulk Hogan’s estranged daughter Brooke fired back at her mother – who blamed the legendary wrestler for causing rifts in the family – saying she is as much to blame for the familial drama.
Addressing only the “tip of a very large iceberg,” Brooke Hogan ripped both her parents for causing problems in her immediate family.
“I have been EXTREMELY verbally and mentally abused since childhood,” she alleged on Instagram Thursday night.
“Sadly, it would frequently turn physical. And sometimes it’s not by the person you would assume, abuse comes in all shapes and sizes. This vicious pattern has robbed me of any sense of self-esteem or confidence I’ve trained to pretend to have.”
The long-winded post came a day after her mother, Linda Hogan, broke down in tears and blamed her ex-husband as the reason their daughter severed contact with them.
In the now-viral video posted to her Instagram Stories Wednesday, the 65-year-old accused Hulk Hogan — whose real name is Terry Bollea — of being a “liar” and “sex addict” while missing out on her daughter’s life.
“It’s been 15 however long years since I left Hulk Hogan and my family is the worst mess,” Linda Hogan said. “Brooke doesn’t talk to us. She had twins, she got married [and] she didn’t tell us.”
The 36-year-old married former Washington Capitals defenseman Steven Olesky in 2022, and the couple welcomed their son and daughter in January.
Brooke Hogan described her mother’s behavior in the video as “mild” compared to past antics she had to endure growing up in the famous household.
“That being said, she has been through A LOT of trauma and pain, my heart breaks for her. You can’t control how others treat you, but you can control how you treat others and cope with things,” she said.
“Too many times I have ignored things said about me, and haven’t spoken my truths, she added, saying she would be vague in her response.
Brooke Hogan said her decision to remain silent in the past affected her personal and professional careers to “dodge the public negativity.”
She claimed to have separate reasons for “going no contact” with her parents as the fight she had with her father was not the reason she no longer speaks with her mom.
“Not contact with my Mom has nothing to do with my Dad, and no contact with my Father has nothing to do with my Mother. This also pertains to my Dad’s second and third, now current wife,” Brooke Hogan said.
“This decision was made based purely on how they have each dealt with me directly my entire life.”
In 2023, Brooke Hogan skipped her father’s wedding as he married yoga instructor Sky Daily, citing “difficult” changes in her life.
Brooke Hogan says she felt used by the people in her life as they made decisions that benefitted them over her.
“I’ve been ASKED to defend poor behavior to the public and have done so out of love. Only to find I was misinformed, manipulated, and lied to,” she wrote. “Still to this day I face constant ridicule for those poor decisions of others. I’ve watched others benefit financially off my suffering and embarrassment caused by their selfish behavior.”
“While it caused my life to crumble, I continued to stay strong and resilient,” she added.
She said she had forgiven the “massive blows” to her personal and professional life while being the target of poor behavior including lies, manipulation, being used as a pawn and being treated as stupid.
“No child or human should ever experience something like this.”
