Ava Sambora’s wedding weekend was extra special for the mother of the bride, Heather Locklear.
“Heather looked beautiful,” an eyewitness exclusively shared with Us Weekly. “She is in a healthy place. Those close to Heather are happy she’s happy.”
Part of that happiness comes from her boyfriend, Lorenzo Lamas.
Nearly one month after news broke that Locklear, 64, was dating the actor, the pair traveled to Montecito, California, to attend Sambora’s wedding as a couple.
“Lorenzo is a quiet guy and let her have her moment as the mother of the bride on such a big day,” the eyewitness revealed. “She was proud holding his hand and he was proud holding her hand. They were all smiles.”
After witnessing their chemistry in person, the eyewitness added, “They are the real deal.”
During the wedding celebration, held at the Rosewood Miramar on Saturday, May 16, Ava’s daughter, Richie Sambora, couldn’t help but get onstage during the reception and perform a few songs in honor of the newlyweds.
According to Instagram, the lead guitar player for Bon Jovi briefly sang “Livin’ on a Prayer” for the pair and their guests.
As for the cherished father-daughter dance, Ava, 28, and Richie, 66, chose the legendary rocker’s song “I’ll Always Walk Beside You,” with Ava telling guests, “My father wrote this song,” as Richie posted on Instagram.
When it came to Lamas, 68, and Richie celebrating together on the big day, it was all about Ava.
“It was seamless incorporating [Lorenzo] into the family,” the eyewitness said. “Richie has always supported Heather and has always wanted the best for her. He has always done his best for her and has been there for her, even through her toughest times.”
Locklear and Richie were married from 1994 to 2007. The exes have maintained an amicable coparenting relationship since their public split.
Ultimately, the focus of the weekend was on Ava, who was able to exchange vows with her husband, Tyler Farrar.
While both parties try to keep their relationship private — both Ava and Farrar have their Instagrams as private — the Loyola Marymount University grads got engaged in February 2024 before celebrating with a party in October 2025.
“Had the most beautiful night celebrating our engagement!” Ava wrote via Instagram at the time. “Thank you for being my biggest blessing Tyler William 🤍 #engagedaf.”
Earlier this month, the model also had the opportunity to celebrate her love story with an intimate bridal shower.
“Thank you to all the amazing women who hosted, organized and attended this special day,” she shared via Instagram. “I am beyond grateful for each of them, especially my mama, Godmother Juliet, future mother-in-law Mary, and sister Monica.”
