Iowa stuns defending champion Florida as first No. 1 seed falls in March Madness

The defending national champions are out of the Big Dance.

Iowa Hawkeyes knocked out Florida in the second round with a stunning 73-72 win, where Alvaro Folgueiras’ corner 3-pointer helped propel Iowa into the lead with just 4.5 seconds remaining on the clock.

The defeat marks the first No. 1 seed to be eliminated from the NCAA Tournament this year, and the Hawkeyes will now face the Nebraska in the Sweet 16.

Folgueiras finished the night with 14 points, which included the game-winner.
