Jaime King’s recent reported sightings with hotelier Vikram Chatwal were not romantic, a rep for the Hart of Dixie alum exclusively tells Us Weekly.

Following reports that King, 46, and Chatwal, 54, were spotted in Los Angeles together, King’s rep tells Us that the two are “just friends.”

“They were at a business meeting,” the rep says, noting that King is “very happy in her relationship” with fiancé Austin Sosa.

The clarification comes after Page Six reported on Monday, January 5, that King and Vikram — who is the son of hotelier Sant Singh Chatwal — had recently been spotted looking cozy together at Chateau Marmont in Los Angeles. They were also reportedly seen together at Bombay Palace restaurant, which was first opened by Vikram’s father.

Vikram was previously married to socialite Priya Sachdev from 2006 to 2011.

For her part, King got engaged to investment banker Sosa in July, her rep confirmed to People at the time.

The White Chicks star later opened up to Us exclusively about how grateful she felt for this chapter in her life.

“I feel like my engagement is to myself, in the best way,” King told Us in October 2025. “To me, an engagement is really about a love for oneself.”

King continued, “I’m just really excited for this new time in my life. The person that I’m engaged to, I love deeply.”

King also recalled instantly knowing that Sosa was The One when they “met through mutual friends” in December 2024.

“When I saw him, I was like, ‘You’re going to be my boyfriend.’ He’s like, ‘Wait, what?’” she explained. “I think it kind of shook him a little bit. And then the second time, I was like, ‘You’re going to be my boyfriend.’ Which is such a silly thing to say. It seems so childish, but I just looked [at him], I was like, ‘Oh, no, that’s going to be my person.’”

King added that she was drawn to Sosa because of their shared values.

“Loving to me is not just some romantic thing. It’s seeing someone and being like, ‘Oh, they’re going to have my back and I’m going to have their back, and we’re going to have fun together. We’re going to take care of each other,” she explained. “There’s loyalty. There’s just an integrity about him that is rare.”

While King is excited to spend her life with Sosa, she revealed that she didn’t want to jump right into wedding planning. Instead, she chose to prioritize her sons, James Knight, 12, and Leo Thames, 10, whom she shares with ex-husband Kyle Newman. (The pair settled their divorce in 2023.)

“My main focus is them,” the mom of two continued. “So my main focus is not necessarily planning some extravaganza. My focus is chilling with them, enjoying my time with them. Enjoying their time with Austin and our other friends that love them so dearly. It would be too singular of a focus to make it just about a wedding.”

King added, “My whole life, all I wanted was to have a family unit, to be married, to have a partnership, you know, to be of service in that manner. It’s very important to me. I’m eclectic and traditional at the same time. And so, it sincerely matters to me. My intention is to walk through this world with extraordinary joy, comradery and togetherness. And the way that I experience that is with my children and within family.”
