Jalen Brunson confronted Tyrese Haliburton on SmackDown.

That’s a real thing that happened.

But, for a moment, there was a concern over his hand that just underwent surgery.

The Knicks star got into a staredown with the Pacers standout on an episode of WWE’s Friday Night Smackdown at Madison Square Garden, even bringing out a steel chair as part of an angle, though Brunson appeared to grimace at one point during his participation.

Brunson was coming to the aide of LA Knight in the face of Haliburton and United States Champion Logan Paul.

The Knicks star cleared up any questions regarding his hand following his appearance, saying he “Just lived out a childhood dream and yes the hand fine lol yall can relax.”

Brunson fractured his hand in Game 7 during the second round of playoffs and opted for surgery to heal in anticipation of next season.

The All-Star also confronted Haliburton — who helped knock his Knicks out of the second round of the playoffs — in a WWE ring without a cast.

Brunson was given a roaring ovation throughout the evening from his introduction to his direct participation in the angle.

As of now, it is unknown whether or not he will maintain a level of involvement, even if sporadic, in WWE programming.

It’s likely that it was a one-off given that it was in Madison Square Garden, Brunson’s sporting home.
