Jennifer Aniston went through a horrifying experience this week and it may have her rethinking her dream home.
On May 5, The Morning Show star was the victim of a home invasion after Jimmy Wayne Carwyle crashed through the gates of her Bel Air estate. Aniston was home at the time, according to CBS News, but fortunately, her security team held him at gunpoint unto the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) arrived. Per the LAPD, Carwyle was charged with “one count each of felony stalking and felony vandalism.”
According to the Daily Mail, the terrifying incident has “extremely shaken” the 56-year-old actress to her core after the serenity of her “hilltop oasis” was breached. In addition to the security issues after Carwyle drove through Aniston’s gate, there was the onslaught of publicity that reportedly worried her too.

“Jen is furious with the LAPD for releasing where she lives. Although you can Google her address, she can’t believe the police revealed her block,” an insider claimed to the media outlet. “Since the incident, she’s had people flooding outside her house, hoping to get a glimpse of her. As one of the biggest celebrities in the world, she expected more protection from the police.”
A second source pointed out that Aniston is now living at an estate where “everyone knows the address.” She is beefing up security after the event, but the Friends actress might put the home on the market if she feels unsafe. She bought the residence in 2011 and underwent a full-gut renovation to create a vibrant space. She showed off the property to Architectural Digest in 2018.
“There was a time when I thought there was something romantic about picking up and trotting off somewhere different every three months. Now I’m becoming more particular about the projects I take,” she told the magazine. “I look around at my husband [Justin Theroux] and my dogs and our home, and there’s nowhere else I want to be.”
Now, that tranquil space has been disrupted by an intruder, and it has Aniston assessing whether that dream home is right for her anymore.
