According to Deadline, NBC News and MSNBC are also expected to stream a simulcast of the debate on their own networks. ABC News is also expected to present a simulcast of CNN’s debate, as Americans can watch either on cable or streaming devices.

In a statement to Newsweek on Monday, Trump spokesperson Steven Cheung said: “The media wants to lower Joe Biden’s debate performance bar so low he gets a participation trophy simply for standing upright for 90 minutes, but make no doubt about it—Biden will be highly prepared and alert on debate night, relying on the same perfectly calibrated dosage used to deliver his widely praised 2024 State of the Union Address or his 2012 thrashing of Paul Ryan in the VP debate.

“If given a fair opportunity to present his vision for America, President Trump will lay out exactly how he plans to improve the lives of every American suffering from everything becoming too expensive and every community being turned into a border community thanks to Joe Biden’s incompetence.”

Newsweek reached out to Biden’s campaign spokesperson via email for comment on Monday.
