Josh Kushner and Karlie Kloss reached a new level of sports fame on Wednesday.

Mark Walter sold the Lakers to Kushner and Bob Iger for $12.5 billion, which stunned the sports world as the sale came 14 months after Walter purchased a majority stake in the team for a then record $10 billion.

However, Kushner, 41, isn’t the only one in the relationship with a stake in a sports team.

Kloss, 33, is a minority owner of the New York Liberty.

The supermodel and entrepreneaur, who has been a fan of the team, bought a limited partnership stake along with Alibaba co-founder Jack Ma at the start of last season following the Liberty’s 2024 WNBA title.

Team owners Joe and Clara Wu Tsai sold the stake at a reported $450 million valuation, which marked as a record for a women’s professional sports franchise.

Kloss also recently spent time in Los Angeles, sharing three films on reproductive justice as the executive producer of “In Bloom: Everybody’s Fight”.

She shared an Instagram post from the night on Instagram.

“What an amazing night in LA, sharing our 3 films on reproductive justice, Everybody’s Fight,” she wrote. “As we gear up for fall, these stories are a good reminder of how important it is to take action and VOTE. Thank you @utafoundation for hosting us and to @culturehousemedia your continued partnership – couldn’t do this without you. ❤️”

In addition to the sale, its been a busy year for Kloss and Kushner, the younger brother to Jared Kushner and brother-in-law to Ivanka Trump.

The couple attended Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding on July 3 at Madison Square Garden.

Kloss stunned in a gold strapless dress paired with a matching clutch and heels while Kushner sported a suit with a bow tie.

It was a question of whether the couple received an invitation to the wedding bash of over 1,000 guests as Kloss is former best friends with Swift.

The friends reportedly hit a roadblock when the 14-time Grammy Award winner didn’t attend the wedding of Kushner and Kloss, who tied the knot in 2018 in what was a small Jewish ceremony in upstate New York.

Kloss also befriended a sour acquaintance of Swift’s, Scooter Braun, who acquired Big Machine Records and the mega popstar’s first six studio albums in 2019.

That led to the re-recording of several of Swift’s albums.

Braun was a guest at Kloss and Kushner’s wedding as well.

The couple has been together since 2012 and share three children — sons Levi, 5, and Elijah, 3, and soon-to-be one-year-old daughter Rae.
