The stars were not in short supply for Jake Paul’s bout against Anthony Joshua on Friday.
Ahead of the title bout that saw Joshua win via knockout, stars both in and out of the sports world were spotted heading into Kaseya Center in Miami.
Mets superstar Juan Soto was seen alongside outfielder Starling Marte as the two are seemingly enjoying their offseason.
Soto has had a close relationship with Marte, with the four-time All-Star previously saying that the 36-year-old was the Mets’ team captain in 2025.
Marte, who joined the team in 2022, is still a free agent.
“[Marte] is literally the leader of this team — I feel like he’s actually the captain of this team,” Soto said at the end of the season. “He’s bringing everybody together. He’s bringing the energy that we need. He’s a guy who has been stepping up every single time, it doesn’t matter what.”
Pro Football Hall of Fame wide receiver Michael Irvin was also spotted, as well as ex-Jets star Brandon Marshall.
Golfing legend Rory McIlroy was also seen ahead of the event, along with Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy.
Portnoy recently announced that he is partnering with Netflix — which streamed Friday’s boxing event — for three of Barstool’s podcasts.
“Emergency press conference time,” Portnoy posted to X on Wednesday. “If you haven’t heard the news, I’m proud to announce that Barstool is partnering with Netflix for three of our top podcasts.”
Outside of sports, comedian Bert Kreischer had some fun on the event’s red carpet, pulling his shirt up for the cameras.
Filmmaker Benny Safdie, who is perhaps best known for directing “Uncut Gems” alongside his brother, Josh, was also in attendance.
Hip hop artists Young Thug and Rick Ross were spotted as well, with the latter previously claiming that he would give anyone $10 million to fight Paul.
“Since everyone seems to be afraid to fight @jakepaul I’m down to put another 10 million on top to make the with match happen,” the rapper posted on social media back in 2022.
“What fight would you want to see?”
