DearU, a global K-Pop  company, will bring its US flagship and its first permanent brick-and-mortar store, to 24 Union Square East. Newmark’s Jeffrey Roseman and Drew Weiss are the exclusive leasing agents for the property’s owners, the S. Klein Family LLC.

The 9,932 square-foot store, to be called Bubble House New York,  will fill the building’s ground floor.

DearU is a South Korea-based global entertainment technology company that helps fans connect with K-Pop artists. The new store’s “experiential concept”  will blend merchandise, exclusive activations and fan engagement experiences, to connect artists and fans in a  physical setting.

Roseman commented, “Dear U’s first permanent retail location reflects the neighborhood’s appeal to experiential concepts and international brands looking to engage consumers in new ways.”

Its arrival comes as the Union Square area is enjoying a frenzy of retail leasing that has gobbled up previously dark storefronts.

The DearU space was previously leased to Raymour & Flanigan. Tae Moon and Jin Kim of KORINY INC represented Dear U in lease negotiations.
