Blame it on the vinaigrette dressing.

SNY analyst and Mets legend Keith Hernandez suffered “a little upchuck” that interrupted him while live on air during the Mets’ 6-3 loss to the Twins on Tuesday night in Minneapolis.

Hernandez and play-by-play man Gary Cohen then put on their detective caps to find the culprit.

It all started with Hernandez in the middle of praising Mark Vientos for his favorite thing — good fundies — in the eighth inning.

“Comes in and gets the ball on the run, strong arm,” Hernandez said while detailing a putout before pausing for a second.

“Excuse me.”

“You OK over there,” Gary Cohen asked.

Hernandez replied: “Yeah, I had a little upchuck. A little upchuck.”

That response elicited a hearty laugh from Cohen.

“I don’t think we need upchuck here,” Cohen said, which caused Hernandez to chuckle.

The ex-first baseman replied: “It just came out of nowhere. Right in the middle of my sentence. Sorry, I apologize.”

The two then discussed what may have caused the indigestion.

“I had chicken and mashed potatoes,” Hernandez said.

“That shouldn’t produce anything,” Cohen said.

Hernandez then attempted to solve the case.

“Maybe the salad with a little vinaigrette,” he said.

Cohen followed a few moment later: “Maybe you didn’t chew your lettuce thoroughly enough.”

Hernandez then focused solely on the dressing as the culprit.

“The vinaigrette, you know how it could get you roiled up,” Hernandez said while motioning his hands.

“If you’re so inclined,” Cohen said.

Hernandez and Cohen will be back on the air Wednesday afternoon for the series finale in the Twin Cities and hopefully he skipped the salad this time out.

The Mets (11-6) are aiming for their fifth straight series win in what will be a bullpen game after Griffin Canning had to be scratched due to an illness.
