The New York Knicks’ first game of the 2026-27 season might be their highest profile of the year.
On Tuesday, Oct. 20, Jalen Brunson, Karl-Anthony Towns, OG Anunoby, Mikal Bridges and Josh Hart’s defending NBA champions host LeBron James and Jaylen Brown in their Philadelphia 76ers debut at New York’s Madison Square Garden.
“[They’re] going to be electric. [The 76ers] going to be definitely a team to keep your eye on. They reloaded this year,” Brunson said on NBC’s Today Show. “It’s going to be a tough test, but we’ll be ready.”
In addition to all the hoopla, Mike Brown’s club will also receive their championship rings and raise their 2025-26 banner — the team’s first since 1973 — to the rafters before tipoff.
