Kylie Kelce is chiming in on the viral clip from husband Jason Kelce‘s podcast about arguments in marriage.
“Notice how my husband was oddly quiet during this segment,” Kylie, 33, teased during the Thursday, December 11, episode of her “Not Gonna Lie” podcast. “He did ask a couple clarifying questions, but for the most part, his ass knew that he could not say [anything] after almost eight years married.”
Kylie continued, “We absolutely argue. Now, do we argue often? Not really, but we’ve definitely argued. For sure.”
One week prior, Jason, 38, and Travis Kelce hosted George Clooney on an episode of “New Heights.” During the interview, Travis, 36, asked George, 64, if it was true he and wife Amal Clooney have never argued in more than 10 years of marriage.
“I’m not lying,” the actor insisted, “Travis, shall we ask you the same question?”
The Kansas City Chiefs tight end laughed and referenced his relationship with Taylor Swift. “Well, it’s only been two and a half years, and you’re right, I haven’t gotten in an argument. Never once,” he said.
Travis and Swift, 35, got engaged in August. Kylie and Jason, meanwhile, have been married since 2018 and share four daughters.
“I’m wondering if they’re trying to classify an argument as like … yelling,” Kylie continued on Thursday while reacting to the clip. “To be fair, I’m not a yelling arguer, so the arguments in our house, they’re not a yelling situation.”
Kylie noted that different circumstances can lead to different dynamics. “I just think that if you’re married, you live together, specifically if you have children, you’re potentially having some sleepless nights. You might have varying degrees of patience with certain situations with your kids,” she said. “Also, I do think it’s important to figure out what the definition is of the argument. … Is that different from bickering? … I’m very confused about this.”
Despite her confusion, Kylie gave George “credit” where it was due. “I would not argue with Amal either. Absolutely not,” she joked before inviting Amal, 47, to “come through” on “Not Gonna Lie.”
Since launching her podcast last year, Kylie has shared a closer look at her life with Jason and their kids. While she’s candidly discussed parenting and her own relationship, she’s hesitated to bring up Travis’ love life on her show.
“Here’s where I think there’s a disconnect,” she explained in September. “People do not realize that you at home, you have your family, and in your family, you might have a brother-in-law and they might be dating someone. You might have a soon-to-be sister-in-law. But you have a relationship personally with them that no one else is involved in, because it’s your relationship.”
Kylie continued, “I don’t need to come out here and make statements when I already talk to them. You see what I’m saying? … I don’t need you to take my comments and try and dissect it.”
At the time, Kylie assured fans that she was “so excited” about Travis and Swift’s engagement — even if she didn’t congratulate them publicly. “[My daughters] are so excited to get another aunt,” she said. “I am so truly happy for them and I feel so grateful that we get to welcome Taylor into our family in a more official capacity. But it’s our private relationship. … I don’t need to talk about them all the time.”
