Landry Shamet is the perfect match for Knicks’ new offense — and he’s doing it ‘where I wanted to be’

Landry Shamet was unsigned and unsure of where he was going to end up.

In his heart, though, there was a clear preference.

“This is where I wanted to be,” Shamet told The Post. “With the year we had last year, this group of guys, this locker room, this city, these fans, all of it, I only wanted to be here, to be honest. I’m glad it worked out.”

That was despite a first season with the Knicks spent largely on the periphery.
