MINNEAPOLIS — First-year head coach Chris DeMarco was well aware of the high expectations when he took the Liberty job.
At his introductory press conference in December, he embraced the pressure.
“If you ever played any sport and you’re competitive,” he said, “this is what you want.”
Nine months later, DeMarco is singing the same tune on the eve of his WNBA playoff debut.
