Though not as likely to instill the dread the phrase ‘winter is coming’ inspired in the Game of Thrones books, it should. Day. at CityPlace, dig into some local golden deliciousness at the 25th annual Sweet Corn Fiesta at the Fairgrounds, enjoy live music and food trucks at Mounts Botanical Garden’s massive plant sale and more.
In addition to the top five events listed there’s always something great happening at places like The Norton Museum of Art or the Maltz Jupiter Theatre. On top of that you could always just enjoy a great meal with an equally great view at one of Palm Beach County’s waterfront restaurants from Jupiter to Boca Raton. 1. Sweet Corn Fiesta at Yesteryear Village
The 25th annual Sweet Corn Fiesta will be held Sunday, April 27 at the South Florida Fairgrounds. There will be shucking contests, live music, a corn-eating competition and more.
Enjoy ear after ear of delicious, locally grown sweet corn and participate in corn shucking and cooking contests at the 25th annual Sweet Corn Fiesta. The event will also host the National Sweet Corn Eating Championship. Presented by Major League, this event will see competitors vying for over $5,000 in prize money as they see who can consume the most ears in 12 minutes. Last year’s winner took down 56! There will also be live music by the Krystal River Band and the Andrew Morris Band. Boxes of sweet corn (48 ears) will available for $25.

2. Dance. All. Day. at CityPlace
The Dance. All. Day. event will be held Saturday, April 26 at CityPlace in West Palm Beach.
Presented by the Natural Movers Foundation, in partnership with CityPlace, this free event invites attendees of all ages to experience the joy of movement through interactive dance classes, performances by top South Florida dance companies and youth ensembles. DJ ReRe will be spinning.

3. Mounts Botanical Garden Spring Plant Sale & Family Fun Weekend
The Mounts Botanical Garden Spring Plant Sale & Family Fun Weekend will be held Saturday, April 26 and Sunday, April 27 at the gardens.
The biggest sale the garden has ever held, this two-day event will feature a wide variety of rare orchids, plants, trees, herbs, ornamentals, succulents, cactus, bonsai, butterfly/native plants, shrubs, and fruit trees from over 70 top growers. There will also be live music by Marijah & the Reggae All Stars, food vendors, arts & crafts and more.

4. Loggerhead Marinelife Center Earth Day Celebration
The Loggerhead Marinelife Center Earth Day Celebration on Saturday, April 26 will include a sustainable fashion show from Resource Depot.
Celebrating Earth Day (which technically was on April 22), this event will include the Great American Cleanup on the beach, conservation-focused discovery shows, interactive activities, and a sustainable fashion show from Resource Depot. LMC staff will provide necessary equipment for beach cleanup.

5. Norton Museum of Art featuring Victoria Cardona
Get over to this popular Friday night event and attend a poetry workshop, listen as jewelry specialist Tiffany Dubin discusses the era of jewelry design post-World War II, let teaching artist Katherine Hoffman help you create your own art, enjoy a poetry reading and listen to guitarist, vocalist Victoria Cardona.

Bonus: Friends of Jupiter Beach 15th Annual Food & Wine Festival
The Friends of Jupiter Beach 15th Annual Food & Wine Festival will be held Saturday, April 26 at Plaza Down Under on the Riverwalk in Jupiter.
Held at Plaza Down Under on the Riverwalk, this fun and dog-friendy event brings together food lovers, pet owners, and the local community for an afternoon of culinary delights (The Jupiter Grill, NEVS BBQ, Stormhouse Brewing, Lewis Steakhouse, 1000 North, Georgia Mae’s, Little Moir’s Food Shack, Coolinary and The Parched Pig, Matty’s Gelato Factory and many more), drinks, live music, and more. Double bonus: WILD in the Palm Beaches Tour
Meet animal ambassadors at Busch Wildlife Sanctuary on Sunday, April 27 during the WILD in the Palm Beaches Tour.
This tour will take guests to three of the areas most popular wildlife attractions. Starting out at Manatee Lagoon, they will enjoy a guided tour with a manatee expert. Next, guests will hop on the Wildlife Connection shuttle for a trip up to Busch Wildlife Sanctuary at Abramson & Schlager Reserve. Once there they will enjoy a boxed lunch while experiencing an unforgettable encounter with some of the Sanctuary’s animal ambassadors.
