Love Is Blind alum Irina Solomonova has been using a GLP-1 to slim down.

“I’m finishing my first month on GLP-1s. I’m on tirzepatide, and I just wanted to share a few real updates because this month has been kind of eye-opening,” Irina, 29, said in a Tuesday, December 9, video shared via TikTok. “I started at 25 units and have recently bumped up to 50 after five weeks.”

Irina, who briefly appeared on season 4 of Love Is Blind, offered fans a few of the biggest “takeaways” that she’s gleaned from her ongoing wellness journey.

“No. 1, the food noise going down has been the biggest change for me,” she explained. “I’m someone who is constantly thinking about food and my next meal. Being on tirzepatide as generally helped my mind feel so much calmer. I’m not as anxious, and I’m not as fixated on food all day, which feels so new to me.”

In addition to taking the weight loss medication, Irina supplemented her plan by overhauling her diet to include high-protein meals and cut heavy fats.

Irina’s doctor initially recommended a GLP-1 dosage after diagnosing the reality TV alum with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS). According to the Cleveland Clinic, PCOS occurs when an individual’s ovaries create excess hormones, causing irregular or missed menstrual cycles and unpredictable ovulation.

“I did get bloodwork done during this process, not before, just to make sure everything looked good. That’s actually when I found out I had PCOS,” Irina said on Tuesday. “That made so much sense because I was having such a hard time losing weight. My doctor did say that getting on GLP-1s could really help with my PCOS symptoms. I feel like I’m already starting to feel less inflamed.”

1 Month one on tirzepatide 🤍 Started at 25 units → now at 50. 167 → 156( 5 weeks technically so far, but the biggest change has honestly been the calm I feel in my mind and body. Food noise down. Anxiety down. Learning to go slow, listen to my body, and support my PCOS. This journey feels different — in the best way.

While taking the medication has helped Irina’s PCOS symptoms, she has yet to see overwhelming weight loss results.

“I thought I’d be further down by now. I really did, but I’m learning that slow and steady is actually what’s best for my body,” Irina said. “This isn’t a quick fix thing for me, and it’s more about tuning into how I feel and adjusting doses when it makes sense.”

Irina then shared the most important lesson she’s learned from her newfound weight loss journey.

“I’m becoming way more in tune with my body and what I need and what doesn’t work for me, how movement fits in even on the days it feels really hard,” she concluded. “I’m not a professional, this is just my personal experience.”

Irina rose to fame on season 4 of the Netflix pod dating show, where she got engaged to Zack Goytowski sight unseen. The pair, however, called off their engagement within days of meeting in person.

“[Meeting him] was a lot more challenging than I thought it was gonna be,” Irina exclusively told Us Weekly in March 2023. “It was really hard to connect the connection we made in the pods versus being together. I will say that when I saw him it wasn’t anything about his looks or anything, but I just had this gut feeling that something just didn’t feel right and I didn’t feel safe or comfortable.”

Zack, 34, later reunited with now-wife Bliss Poureetezadi-Goytowski and they tied the knot in the season 4 finale. The pair welcomed their first baby, daughter Galileo, in May 2024.
