EXCLUSIVE: Oscar-winning actress, producer and New York Times bestselling author Lupita Nyong’o has signed with WME.

Nyong’o is best known for her roles in Marvel’s Black Panther franchise, Jordan Peele’s Us and for her feature debut in Steve McQueen’s Best Picture Oscar winner 12 Years a Slave, for which she received the Oscar, SAG Award, Critics’ Choice Award, Spirit Award and NAACP Image Award for supporting actress in 2014.

She also earned a Tony nomination in 2016 for her Broadway debut, in Danai Gurira’s play Eclipsed.

Nyong’o will next star alongside Matt Damon, Tom Holland, Zendaya, Robert Pattinson, Anne Hathaway, Charlize Theron, Jon Bernthal and Benny Safdie in Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey, an adaptation of Homer’s epic poem. The film is set for release on July 17, 2026.

This summer, Nyong’o will make her return to the stage as Viola in Shakespeare in the Park‘s production of Twelfth Night alongside Peter Dinklage, Sandra Oh and Jesse Tyler Ferguson. Directed by Tony-nominated Saheem Ali, previews begin August 7, with the show running August 21-September 14.

Last year, Nyong’o starred in DreamWorks Animation’s The Wild Robot, which debuted in September, earning the Critics Choice Award for Best Animated Feature and Golden Globe, BAFTA and Academy Award nominations. She also starred in Paramount’s horror spinoff A Quiet Place: Day One, written and directed by Michael Sarnoski. The film released in June to critical acclaim and box office success, making it the most successful debut in the franchise.

In September, Nyong’o launched her podcast Mind Your Own, which navigates what it means to belong from the African perspective.

In 2020, Nyong’o narrated her debut children’s book Sulwe for Netflix’s Bookmarks: Celebrating Black Voices, earning her a Daytime Emmy.
