Derik Queen just etched his name into Maryland basketball history.

Queen knocked down the game-winning basket against No. 12 Colorado State at the buzzer to send the No. 14 Terrapins to the Sweet 16 and a date with the SEC tournament champs, the Florida Gators.

Trailing by one with 3.7 seconds left on the clock, Queen got the inbounds pass and dribbled toward the basket before taking a fadeaway shot from the side of the net that fell to clinch the 72-71 victory over the Rams on Sunday.

As soon as the basket dropped, Queen flexed along the side of the court, and he was mobbed by his Maryland teammates in celebration.
