Inspiring others to volunteer in their communities
HOUSTON (CW39) — She is on a mission to make the world a better place. Now Carsyn Hughes has a new title that will help her reach more people and do just that!
Hughes was crowned the 2024 Miss Texas Volunteer! Her title is part of the nationwide Miss Volunteer America, the pageant is a service-oriented scholarship program created to empower young women across the country through educational scholarships and extraordinary opportunities.
During Carsyn Hughes year of service, she will partner with organizations including Make-A-Wish Foundation, the Hearts to Homes Foundation, and various other community events. Hughes is a national spokesperson for Every Girl Counts and will continue promoting her public service campaign, “Different People Make a Difference.” She competes for the title of 2024 Miss Volunteer America June 19-21 in Jackson, Tennessee.
