BAY COUNTY, MI — The search is underway for the next young woman to wear the crown and represent the community as Miss Bay County.
Applications are being accepted for the 2025 Miss Bay County Scholarship Pageant, scheduled to take place on Aug. 17. An orientation session for all participants is scheduled for July 14.
Affiliated with the Miss America organization, the Miss Bay County Scholarship Program offers opportunities for young women from Bay and Tuscola counties, as well as Delta College students, to earn scholarships while competing in a nationally recognized system.
However, the teen division is open to applicants from across the entire state of Michigan.
The competition is divided into two age groups: Miss Bay County is open to contestants ages 18 to 28; Miss Bay County’s Teen welcomes participants ages 13 to 18.
Those interested in competing are encouraged to reach out by emailing Bilh1@chartermi.net or contacting Linda Bilhimer at 989-893-5529 for more information.
Over the years, the program has helped launch the pageant careers of several local women who went on to earn the title of Miss Michigan, including Jenae Lodewyk, Mallory Rivard, Katie LaRoche, Kelli Talicska, and Suzanne Schemm.
