For the first time in five years, Hannibal has new royalty.

Grace Isch was crowned Miss Hannibal Saturday at the triumphant return of the Miss Hannibal Pageant.

Palmyra’s Avery Trower was crowned Miss Hannibal’s Teen.

The Miss Hannibal Pageant returned Saturday at the Crossing in Hannibal after going through a five-year hiatus after the retirement of its former director.The former directors Barbara Stewart and Rita Nelson were recognized during the pageant for their tireless work for the many years of the Miss Hannibal Pageant.

This pageant is a preliminary pageant for Miss Missouri and Miss America.

Fourteen contestants competed in various categories, including private interview, on-stage question, talent, fitness, and evening gown. The competition aims to empower young women by helping them develop professional skills and pursue their educational goals through scholarship awards.

KHQA’s own Tegan Orpet was the Emcee of the Pageant.
